Sunday... 8 PM... Live on NBC... It made my day. Surprisingly (for me) Slumdog Millionair bagged four major awards at Golden Globes. I was waiting for the awards since two weeks and I guess my eagerness rest with sense of justification and satisfaction. A R Rehman bagged the awards, thats something predictable. Other three awards were also well judged. It was historic, in terms of Cinema based on India featuring Indian character played by indians, bagged four awards. I felt like I was dreaming. My fav since Eternal Sunshine... Kate bagged Actress and Supporting Actress, that was awsome and again given that she won her competing with Meryl Streep and Angie, the award was really a tough one to beg. Kate was almost crying and pointing at Angie and Meryl, for she though they deserve it more, and when she gets it, it was mind boggling in terms of surprise. My favorite "Phone Booth" guy bagged an award for "In Burges", I did not like the movie that much over all, but acting was superb. The huge surprise in the award ceremony was the magnificent presence of The King "Shahrukh Khan", I could not believe it for the time being, it was incredible. Steven Spielburg, what a man, got an award, in fact he is himself a veteran luminary, so it does not come with surprise.
