Slumdog is killer

It is almost a clean sweep, Slumdog was nominated for 10 oscars and it won 8. I just can not write what kind of feeling I had when I was watching Slumdog, all of my friends sitting there were looking at me when I shouted each time when Slumdog got an award. A R Rehman is incredible, he got two of them, and of course it was very well deserved. Apart from that those five actors on stage, was very powerful style of presenting the Acting award, There was Dustin Hoffman (ooomp), Ben Kingsly, Robert De nero(oooomp) and Michael Douglas (oomph), I could not believe this, perhaps for the first time this kind of presentation is brought to oscars. As expected Kate got the awards, and she did not forget to mention Meryl (ooomph). I could not believe this kind of function happened. Now Slumdog draws parallel with Gone With the Wind in terms of oscar. In fact Slumdog is two short of total nominations which is better than Titanic which was three short of total nominations, Slumdog and Titanic both were unfortunate not to be nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress. Eight awards is like dream now, I never this film is going as strong as Gandhi or Gone With the Wind. It was truly very special experience.
